Open for all interested; we recommend to wear comfortable clothes
How about encountering art very differently for a change? Engaging with an exhibition by means of movement, dance and voice and by doing that, putting it to the test?
Body Talks is a new, experimental format of Kunstraum Niederoesterreich, in which we probe with the question of how art mediation could take place beyond spoken language. Participants are invited to react to the exhibitions at Kunstraum with the entire repertoire that their bodies hold ready for them and to enter into an embodied exchange with the themes and/or the works.
The workshop on 04/11/2023 is part of a series of workshops developed by Daliah Touré and take place throughout 2023. Drawing on Daliah Touré's practice as a dancer and arts mediator, these workshops use movement, dance, and touch to shed light on how our bodies help us understand and reconfigure our relationship to the world, to spaces, to other people and ways of life. Tools used will include performance scores, improvisation and intuition.
The workshop lasts a maximum of 3 hours and is conceived for a group size of max. 15 people. It will take place outside of opening hours and is open to everyone interested - no special skills or knowledge are required.
We kindly ask you to register for this workshop. Please do so by sending a short email to anmeldung[at]kunstraum.net. Alternatively you can call us: +43 1 90 42 111.
